Security work is one of the more accessible steady jobs in this region, with demand from the plants and mine leases, warehouses and godowns, banks and ATMs, hospitals, schools and colleges, apartment complexes, and the hotels and heritage sites around Hampi. Roles include security guards, gunmen, gate and access control staff, CCTV control-room operators, and shift supervisors. Most employers are PSARA-licensed agencies rather than the end client, so you are usually placed at a site rather than hired by it. Expect a physical standard, a police verification, 8 or 12-hour shifts including nights, and uniform provided. Ex-servicemen and candidates with prior guarding experience are preferred for supervisory posts, but fresh candidates are routinely taken on and trained for general duty.
