Last-mile parcel and food delivery is concentrated in Hospet and Ballari town, needs your own two-wheeler and a valid licence, and usually pays a base plus a petrol or per-delivery allowance. Shop and distributor delivery covers moving stock between godowns and retailers, often on a three-wheeler or small commercial vehicle. Then there is passenger and staff driving, including the shift buses and cabs that run to the plants and mining offices. An LMV licence covers cars and small vans; anything larger needs an HMV licence, which is worth getting if you plan to stay in this line. Knowing the roads towards Hampi, Toranagallu, Kampli and Gangavathi is genuinely valued.
Working in Sandur
Sandur sits in the heart of the iron ore belt in Ballari district, and mining and its associated services dominate hiring here. Openings centre on heavy vehicle and tipper driving, excavator and loader operation, weighbridge and dispatch work, mine safety and survey roles, and the workshops that keep the equipment running, alongside the manganese and iron operations that have worked this area for generations. The town also has a long-standing handloom, lambani embroidery and craft tradition.
